Book Description The third of four volumes completes the first catalogue that presents all cichlids from South and Central America. Only the Discus and Angels are left out and presented in Volume IV. On 144 pages and 650 fantastic color photos you find the co llective genera Aequidens, Cichlasoma and their relatives Acaronia, Caquetaia, Petenia and Herotilapia. Changes of scientific names up to 1998 are considered. All AQUALOG -reference books introduce each fish (incl. breeding forms etc.)with at least one color photo and a short description. The ingenious code number system labels every known or newly discovered fish with an individual code number. This number re mains, despite any scientific renaming.
